SECTION 1.
Sir J. Jordan to Sir Edward Grey.-(Received March 6.)
(No. 55.) (Telegraphic.) P.
CANTON-HANKOW Railway.
Peking, March 6, 1909.
In reply to your telegram No. 41 of yesterday's date, I should say that Mr. Bland, having to-day communicated to the Chinese his Corporation's refusal to accept Tien-tsin- Pukow terms, the Germans may, I fear, secure the loan at any moment by making an offer on those terms. I am, however, unable to say what their exact policy may be in
the matter.
